Maria-Giulia Caccia Dominioni

I have been working at Simon Gillespie Studio since 2002. I had five years training in Italy, at the Aldo Galli Accademia of Fine Art and Conservation, in Como.
After the degree I worked in a few projects in Italy on both easel paintings and mural artwork.

I particularly enjoyed bringing old frescos back to life after century of dust and bad restorations had tarnished the original beauty.

I’ve been always fascinated by objects that have become part of our history. Holding a work of art gives me pleasure and curiosity; as each one reveals incredible new details through the restoration process.

Having three very active young children at home, I appreciate my quiet time in front of a painting.
